About us

The Bishkek Resource Center is financed by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, and the Soros Foundation Kyrgyzstan. The Center is affiliated with an EducationUSA global network of more than 450 advising centers around the world. The main mission of the Bishkek Resource Center is actively promote United States higher education in Kyrgyzstan by offering accurate, comprehensive, objective and timely information about educational opportunities in the United States and guidance to qualified individuals on how best to access those opportunities.

Our Center is opened for school and university students, professors, scholars, professionals and other individuals who are interested in pursuing education or research at American universities. The Bishkek Resource Center provides individual and group consultations on such questions as how to choose the right university/college or educational program; how to find financial aid for living and studying abroad; how to prepare for taking standardized exams like SAT, ACT, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, etc.; how to write successful statement of purpose, resume, or letter of recommendation, and many others. Beginning from 2006 the Center provides consultations regarding preparation for study in the European countries. Also in the Bishkek Resource Center you have a unique opportunity to prepare yourself for future successful completing of the application process and for entering a university abroad by using our rich library of university/college catalogs, books of reference, English reading books, tests preparation materials as well as computers with Internet and tests preparation programs, video and audio facilities for increasing the level of your English language skills.

For today the average number of BRC visitors is about 1000 per month. Every year the number of our visitors who is interested in pursuing higher education or research at colleges/universities abroad is steadily increase. (Please refer to the diagram)

All services of our Center are free of charge.

Center is opened for everyone from Monday till Friday, from 9:00 till 18:00. Lunch time from 13.00 till 14.00
