1. Clark University - launched MBA in Social Change

The Graduate School of Management at Clark University, located in the Northeast United States, has launched a unique MBA in Social Change program.  Through a new collaboration with Clark's highly respected International Development, Community, and Environment department, MBA students will learn to use modern technology and advanced analysis to creatively address environmental and development problems and promote social justice. 

 

Clark's diverse curriculum, global perspective, and socially-engaged community help propel students into 21st century careers in corporations, government agencies, and nongovernmental organizations across the globe. 

 

Scholarships and assistantships are available to international students.  For Fulbright applicants, there is a guaranteed 50% cost share here at the Graduate School of Management at Clark University.  For non-Fulbright applicants, the amount of aid varies considerably depending on the strength of the applicant.  A couple unique points about our admission process:

 

  • Accept MBA applicants for spring semester as well as fall
  • Accept GMAT or GRE
  • Opportunity for emerging professionals, no work experience required
  • AACSB Accredited

2. International Scholarships at Roger Williams University - up to $16000 per year

3. Scholarship for fulbright scholars at ohio state university moritz college of law

The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law's LL.M. program is pleased to announce a new scholarship initiative for Fulbright Scholars.  Fulbright Scholars who are admitted to the LL.M. program will be granted partial tuition waivers reducing their tuition costs to in-state tuition levels (i.e., approximate value of $15,000 USD for the 2009-2010 academic year).

The Moritz College of Law is part of the largest university in the United States:  The Ohio State University.  The Ohio State University is located in Columbus, Ohio - the state capital and 15th largest city in the United States. Columbus is home to federal and state government and vibrant legal and business communities.  Columbus is easy to navigate, but offers big-city amenities like art galleries, professional sporting events, theater, and great restaurants. Columbus is centrally located, making it an easy flight or drive to many other major U.S. cities.

There are nearly 4,000 international students at Ohio State, hailing from 107 countries. More than 1,600 international scholars visit campus each year.  The Moritz LL.M. 4. Kathryn Davis Fellowships for Peace: 30 full-tuition fellowships to study critical languages summer 2010

 

Deadline to apply, February 1, 2010 

 

The Monterey Institute of International Studies is pleased to announce up to 30 full fellowships-including tuition, room, board and books to attend Middlebury Language Schools, June - August 2010. These fellowships link two affiliated institutions known internationally for language and international study: the Monterey Institute and Middlebury College. To be eligible for fellowships, candidates must be admitted to a degree program in international policy, international business, or teaching foreign language, for Fall 2010.

 

In the fourth year of this program, these fellowships are made possible by a $1 million gift from Kathryn Davis to address today's critical need for more effective language proficiency. The award covers the cost of tuition, room and board to attend the Middlebury summer Language Schools.  Fellowship recipients will study Arabic, Chinese, Japanese or Russian through the Language Schools' signature immersion model: "No English Spoken Here."  This intense study, equivalent to a full year of college-level language learning, will allow students to enhance language skills to meet enrollment prerequisites at the Monterey Institute for Fall 2010.

 

 "Fellowships for Peace" recipients will be chosen on the basis of academic credentials, experience, and commitment to building a more peaceful world.

 

Languages of Study at Middlebury College's Language Schools
Fellowships are offered only for the following languages and levels:

  • Arabic - beginning or intermediate
  • Chinese (Mandarin) - intermediate
  • Japanese - intermediate
  • Russian - intermediate

AND

 

Programs at the Monterey Institute of International Studies
Fellowships are offered only for students admitted to one of the following master's programs:

  • International Business - MBA
  • International Policy Studies
  • International Environmental Policy
  • Public Administration in International Management - MPA
  • Teaching Foreign Language

 

Qualifications

By the time of enrollment at the Monterey Institute in Fall 2010, students must demonstrate that they meet the language proficiency requirements for their program of study.

MBA, International Policy studies, International Environmental Policy and MPA students are required to be at the following levels by the time of enrollment at the Monterey Institute:

  • Arabic: Ready to begin studies at the second or third-year college level.
  • Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, Russian: Ready to begin studies at the third-year college level.

 

Teaching Foreign Language students must be at the minimum fourth year college-level in their desired teaching language.

 

One summer of intensive immersion language at the Middlebury Language Schools is the equivalent of one full year of college language study during the regular academic year.  Students who successfully complete their studies at Middlebury should meet the Monterey Institute entry requirements.

5. NEW YORK FILM ACADEMY

The New York Film Academy opened its doors in 1992 in Robert DeNiro's Tribeca Film Center offering an innovative curriculum, award-winning instructors, and professional equipment. The Film Academy has grown considerably each year, now offering its intensive hands-on filmmaking programs and degree programs to over 6000 students a year. Our conservatory programs include: Filmmaking, Acting for Film, Producing, Screenwriting, Journalism, Animation, Documentary and Cinematography.

 

The New York Film Academy is licensed by the New York State Education Department.  Our programs are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). NASAD is recognized by the United States Department of Education as the agency responsible for the accreditation of all art and design curricula in the United States.

 

The Academy quickly expanded into its own facilities in Manhattan's Union Square and Soho; and opened a school in Hollywood located on the back lot of Universal Studios in Los Angeles. In 2008 the Academy opened up a campus in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2008 in partnership with the Crown Prince.

 

We offer Master of Fine Arts Degrees in Filmmaking, Acting for Film, Producing, and Screenwriting in our Universal Studios Hollywood campus. The MFA is the most advanced recognized degree offered in these subjects. We also offer a Bachelors degree program at our Universal Studios Hollywood campus.

 

During the summer, the Academy holds semester and short-term programs for college age students. We also host programs for High School (14-17 years old) and Tweens (10-13 years old) at our locations. We have held and continue to hold programs around the world at esteemed institutions including Harvard University, Disney Studios-Florida, Oxford University, Cambridge University, La Sorbonne, Yale University, Princeton University, UCLA, Kaist University, Korea and the Catholic University of Porto in Portugal. In the summer of 2010 the Ciudad De La Luz (Europe's largest movie studio) in Alicante, Spain will be added to this list. The Academy has partnered with prestigious cultural institutions to offer film education to the community including The Guggenheim Museum, The Whitney, The Metropolitan Museum in New York City and The Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art. The Academy frequently designs special filmmaking programs especially for organizations and corporations including the U.S. Armed Forces, the New York City School system, and Sony Animation.

 

The Cultural Ministry of the Vatican commissioned the New York Film Academy to establish a two-year Master of Fine Arts Degree program in filmmaking entitled "Filming the Ineffable."

 

Our instructors are working professionals who consistently receive the extraordinary praise from our students. Our film faculty received MFA degrees from NYU, Columbia University, UCLA, USC, or the American Film Institute. Our faculty also holds undergraduate degrees from Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Columbia and Princeton.

 

We have been chosen again and again by luminaries in the film industry who have sent their family members to study with us. These include Steven Spielberg, Al Pacino, Kevin Kline, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Robert Downey Jr., Jamie Foxx, Terry Gilliam, Stephen Frears (The Queen), Jim Sheridan (In The Name of the Father), George Romero (Night of the Living Dead). F. Murray Abraham, Melanie Griffith, Val Kilmer, Jodi Foster, Sharon Stone, Amy Irving, Pierce Brosnan, Drew Carey, Peter Bogdanovich(Last Picture Show), Jean Claude Van Damme. Three time Oscar Winner Arthur Cohn (One Day in September), Charles Gassot (The Taste of Others).

 

As well as industry leaders and professionals Sheila Nevins (HBO President, Documentary & Family). Bono (U2), Diana Ross (The Supremes). Ed Catmull (Walt Disney & Pixar President), Doug Herzog (President MTV), Howard Schultz (Starbucks CEO), Donatella Versace (famed fashion designer), Ben Bradlee (VP of The Washington Post & Legion of Honor winner), Dan Marino (Hall of Fame Quarterback).

 

We have also had choreographers, doctors, teachers, and in one case, a Tibetan Lama who went on to make the critically acclaimed feature, The Cup. We have received students sponsored by UNESCO and the Fulbright Foundation to study in our programs. Films made at the Academy by our students have screened at all the major film festivals in the world and have won many awards. Many of them have released feature films internationally. Our acting student graduates are working in theater, film, and television. Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA are amongst the students attending our acting program.
