This new scholarship will reduce tuition and be awarded to new international freshman beginning their studies at SIUE in Fall 2012 for up to eight semesters of full-time study. The special tuition rate will reduce annual tuition for selected undergraduate international students from $13,000 to approximately $6,400 (excluding fees). Over four years, the award will have a value of approximately $28,000 when compared with traditional undergraduate international student tuition rates.
An awardee will be required to present a bank statement showing a minimum balance of $19,897 to meet immigration requirements and to be issued an I-20. Thomas College Increases International Scholarship to $12,000 Annually Each international applicant is automatically considered for a scholarship that can be up to $12,000 for each year of undergraduate study - double the amount that has been offered before! The applicant must be qualified for admission to full-time graduate study or working toward a graduate degree in a college or university in the US or Canada. In order to qualify for her first scholarship, the applicant must have at least one full year of coursework remaining and be enrolled and in residence for the entire school year. Eligibility must be established before application material is made available electronically to applicants, and the completed eligibility material will be accepted electronically only between August 15 and December 15. The deadline for submitting application and all related material, except applicant's confirmation of admission from the university, is January 31. For example, the International Cultural Services Program (ICSP) consists of 30-40 renewable scholarships that apply to tuition only and range from $6,000 to $20,000 per year.
The ICSP scholarship has a cultural service component that requires students to give presentations about their home country to children, community organizations, and faculty, staff, and fellow students at the University of Oregon. These scholarships are based on financial need, academic merit, and the ability to make presentations to diverse groups of people. ISIP is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
Additional scholarships and fellowships for international students who demonstrate financial need and academic merit include the International Dean's Excellence Award (IDEA) for New International Students, the Pressman Family Scholarship, and the Jim and Jean Tattersall International Student Scholarship.

Eligible candidates must hold a Ph.D. and can be citizens or permanent residents from any country, provided they hold a valid passport and obtain a J1 Visa. Wilson Center fellowships provide the opportunity for scholars to propose projects involving public policy issues that are related to three main themes: governance, the U.S. role in the world, and future challenges. The Campbell fellow can be a PhD candidate or a post-doctoral scholar whose research deals with women's economic and social empowerment in her home country. The Campbell Fellowship intends to advance the scholarly careers of women social scientists from developing nations and to support research that addresses issues surrounding gender inequality in the developing world.
