Academic and Leadership Program 4 weeks: July 5-July 31, 2010 The Academic and Leadership Program recognizes that each student walks a unique path towards success, one that is not always easily recognized in traditional teaching environments. Small classes, an experienced faculty, and a dedication to each student's individual success distinguish the Academic and Leadership Program and provide a solid foundation for academic and personal success. The program is open to students entering grades 8-11 interested in enrichment or make-up credit, and features academic classes, electives, study skills instruction, standardized test (SSAT, SAT, ACT, TOEFL) preparation, ELL courses, and afternoon leadership activities.
English Language Learners' (ELL) Program 2 weeks: August 1-14, 2010 The ELL Program immerses international students in English language and culture and prepares them for their studies in the United States. We offer classes in grammar, writing, reading, speaking, vocabulary, and TOEFL preparation. Afternoon and weekends included engaging and interactive events for international students to enhance their studies. The program is open to students entering grades 8-11. Special discounts available for students enrolling in both programs. As part of Rasmussen College's 110th anniversary, we are offering 110 scholarships to new students. The scholarship value varies depending on the degree level selected by the potential student. A Bachelor's degree seeking student is eligible for up to $10,000 and an Associate's degree seeking student is eligible for up to $5,000. How do I apply for the 110th Anniversary Scholarship? What happens after a student submits their scholarship entry? The winner will be notified no more than four weeks after the application deadline. If a student has already started, the Campus/Financial Aid Staff will determine whether to apply the first quarter portion of the scholarship immediately in the current quarter or whether to commence payment the following quarter. In either case, the full amount of the scholarship will be granted prior to the student's graduation. 5. Philanthropy and the nonprofit sector are becoming increasingly complex, and those who plan to work in this arena should seek a sophisticated education in the field. This new program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to succeed in entry-level positions in philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. GSGP offers supplementary grants to students from Kyrgyzstan. The GBC program is designed for active professionals with work experience who seek to enhance their business English proficiency and business communication skills and to expand their cross-cultural business awareness for work in the international arena. GBC is a non-degree certificate program for busy professionals who are willing to invest 8, 16 or 24 weeks for language and cross-cultural business communication training.
